Course Overview

Upon completion of this program, candidates should be able to:

  • Identify the basic features and components of the Microsoft Project environment
  • Create a new project plan file and enter project information
  • Manage tasks by organizing tasks and setting task relationship
  • Manage resources for a project
  • Finalize a project plan
  • Exchange project plan data with other applications
  • Update a project plan
  • Manage project costs
  • Report project data visually
  • Reuse project plan information

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for students with an understanding of project management concepts who are responsible for creating and maintaining project plans. Target students will be looking to acquire the advanced knowledge and skills a project manager needs to update a project plan in Project 2019 during the execution, monitoring, and controlling phases of a project.

Pre-requisite

  • A general introductory-level understanding of project management concepts. Courses that help fulfill this requirement include: Project Management Fundamentals (Second Edition).
  • Basic end-user skills with any current Windows operating system.
  • Explore the Microsoft Project 2019 Environment
  • Display an Existing Project Plan in Different Views
